Our head pressure measurement and mapping systems are designed for the evaluation of wearable head products. To balance the most effective product with the most comfortable fit, our systems can accurately capture and visualize the interaction between headwear and the complex shapes of the human head for complete pressure analysis to deliver a product with maximum comfort.

We produce three groundbreaking head pressure mapping systems, each with their own unique features allowing you to:

  • Accurately map, measure, and refine applied pressures produced by a product. 

  • Identify areas of high or abnormal pressure, signaling points of discomfort. 

  • Determine the optimal tightness of a head-mounted product to ensure non-slippage.

TactileHead

The TactileHead is a modular pressure measurement and mapping system for quantifying pressures exerted around the head and face. The system features 17 individual high-resolution sensor modules. The number and location of the modules used can be customized depending on your application and budget. Chameleon, our real-time visualization and acquisition software, is then used to display pressures from all modules simultaneously to allow you to perform real-time comfort and fit analysis.

CTA TactileHead

The CTA TactileHead is a width adjustable pressure measurement and mapping system for quantifying pressures exerted by headphones, earmuffs, headbands, and more on various head sizes.  A high-resolution Conformable TactArray sensor is molded onto the curved area around the ear of the mannequin head, while another high-resolution TactArray sensor is mounted to a flat plate on the other side of the head to provide a controlled comparison. Chameleon, our real-time visualization and acquisition software, is then used to display pressures from both sensors simultaneously and to perform real-time analysis for evaluating comfort and fit.

HeadsetMask

The HeadsetMask is a wearable head pressure measurement and mapping system for gathering real test subject data.  A specially designed high-resolution Conformable TactArray sensor is fitted to the side of the low profile mask to minimize the physical impact of the system on the user. Chameleon, our real-time visualization and acquisition software, is then used to display pressures allowing you to perform real-time analysis for evaluating comfort and fit.
